SQuiT-man
Hi, I just wondered if anyone has rode one yet, and if they could describe the ride? Also, does it seem light, or heavily built, and how similar is the geometry to the python's? Cheers, Scott

JT!
I thought they were already out? :- ← You can pre-order (which is stupid as it means you have never ridden one) but that's it.
SQuiT-man
Oh right, I thought they were menna come out at the start of the month, and people start recieving them around now? Oh well, it needs someone to review it as soon as they get one.
ryan
yeah, ive got the prototype. It rides really nice, got a good length on it. Rides like a small 26". Feels light too Ryan
SQuiT-man
Cheers ryan. Could you tell me the chainstay length and the wheelbase? Thanks, Scott
ryan
The chainstay length is the same as most others e.g T-pro - levelboss ext the wheel base is around 1035 104 depending on what forks your using and also has a nice BB rise Ryan
SQuiT-man
Cool. Are the chainstays shorter than the real pythons then?
andyroo
Cool. Are the chainstays shorter than the real pythons then? ← The T-Pro's have 365mm chainstays, and the Python has 362mm chainstays (information courtesy of a website about tarts and bikes)
Mark W
Cracked my T-Pro, so it looks like I'll be getting one of these when they're out. Think I've gotta pay full price 'cos it's not an "Onza" I'd be replacing it too, but that's fair enough. Can't wait now, really want to see what it's like :-

Mark W
you still ride trials mark? I thought you were prettymuch a bmxer now :- ← I watched Ben Slinger's vid and realised I'd gone wrong... Still ride BMX, but I'm super into trials again now. Really excited about riding, so I kinda knew either me or my bike would get hurt, and lo, my frame dies. I reckon will jinxed it, seeing as the frame I swapped with him for this one cracked a few days ago, and this one's cracked now (N)
antquinn
I rode Ryans the other day, got off my T-rex and jumped onto it no problems at all recommend to anyone I would get one if I had the money to spare. :-
Caleb
Just to let those of you that dont know, the frame will be at tartybikes from around like next wednesday to thursday, but get your orders in quick as i think there only getting 10 in fior now , same with supercycles :-
PaRtZ
but get your orders in quick as i think there only getting 10 in fior now , same with supercycles :- ← Surely theres more than 20 people in the UK who want one. Therfore getting order in now is pretty much useless? (N)
Caleb
I did say for now , spelt wrong lol but nvm. apparently itll be another month or two till they get distributed around the smaller shops. Anyway its a good thing that theres not many around for now, otherwise theyd become as popular as the t-pros :-
SQuiT-man
The T-Pro's have 365mm chainstays, and the Python has 362mm chainstays (information courtesy of a website about tarts and bikes) ← No, normal pythons (the CLS version, or also probably 04) have 375mm stays- the same as the stock pitbull! I find 362mm stays too short from personal experience- you really notice the difference and I feel like they shift too fast before you can put all your power through. AdamR28
No, normal pythons (the CLS version, or also probably 04) have 375mm stays- the same as the stock pitbull! ← CLS version has 375mm stays, Yao Zhi version is 362mm (claimed, they measure more like 365mm) stays. SQuiT-man
Yeh. So how long are the stays on the zona zip? Also Tart, what material is the frame made of? Cheers, Scott
andyroo
So does anyone know what the geo of the Zona is? And if it is the same as the CLS Python? And would it be a wise idea to sell my 04 Team and get a Zip instead?
danny B
i think that the zip is going to be a great frame for the money.
SQuiT-man
Lol, can noone still confirm the chainstay length?
AdamR28
We've been trying for weeks! Getting geometry details tomorrow apparently...
