PaRtZ Posted September 9, 2005 Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 Due to recent flaming of the capabilities of my camera, Ive decided Im going to get a camcorder Unfortunatly Im not experianced in this field at all (Y) So could someone reccomend me a good camcorder? My requirements (im asking a lot, sorry) are the following @ Optical zoom, not digital @ About the £200 mark @ Easy to transfer onto PC @ Rechargable batteries (although im thinking most are now any day) Many thanks (Y) PS will accept Ebay offers too, but preferrably brand new Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jonny Jones Posted September 9, 2005 Report Share Posted September 9, 2005 You may find you'll have to pay ever so slightly more than 200.00 for a decent camera, but 200.00 is a good starting point if you're just getting into it all. MiniDV is the way forward yes. MiniDV cameras come with Firewire, this is how you transfer the video form the DV tape to you PC. You will need a FireWire card, and a FireWire cable (4pin to 6pin, 4pin to 4pin on some laptops). FireWire Card FireWire cable - 4pin to 6pin Also, check Ebuyer.com for cheap camera deals!
