NeillyB
What do you use your DMR for? If it's just jumping and so on, you don't twist the grips as much as you do with trials as you're often in a similar-ish riding position for more of the time, whereas with trials the grip positioning of your hands tends to change all the time, pretty much. You hold on differently when you're on the flat than when you're hopping, on the back wheel, gapping - whatever. My hands do appear to be rough as f**k, in fairness :- ← True, the DMR is for skatepark and trail duties. I have a stock T-Rex, and the grips have utterly shredded my hands. The big flanges on the sides have dug right in and gouged out two charming craters on my hands - due to the different movements of my hands (plus, they're completely shite...) Anyway, sorry, back on topic.
JIX
It depends on with or without gloves alot. I use try all black grips without gloves. I feel I get the best feel from them. In the summer though, they can get very greasy which becomes really annoying, but thats only on really hot days and when your riding all day in it. My experiance with lock ons was that they twist slightly within the collars, which means that its never 100% with the bar which got right on my tits. Tony Harrison
toxsin grips all the way i ride with them amazing :- ← Don't be silly. While I like (and use) the Toxsin grips, they're probably the fattest grips out there.
Da Make
AME TriStar grips are the thinnest that I've found so far.
Josephine
tryall rubber, from cleanbikes or tarty ← I had those and hated them. They were super slippy when wet, damaged easily and were forever slipping on the bars. Joe

ben_travis
i've been using toxsin grips and they're really comfy and grippy, only thing is that they wear down real quick ← and your hands are massive (like shovel's) hence your name, so to you they feel thin, but they aint that thin. mind you probably thinner than my bonty foamers..... the666ers
Kink Omega grips are really really thin. Flanged bmx style, made of soft rubber and a similar mushroom pattern to longnecks, fit key grips etc. I have a few friends who swear by them. Smo™
Can the Brahma grips be purchased directly from Onza? I had a look around but couldn't find them on any sites in the UK (Y) Although I have work in 15 minutes so I did kinda rush.
STEVE-0
I need some new grips also. My last ones were really nice but also took 3 weeks to reach the plastic. They were just standard square pattern grips. Now they just look half naked. I cant work it out cause my old ones lasted at least a few months. I wear gloves and everything, although i have relised when i have come to using them with out grips the rubber rubs off in my hand. Its insane! (Y) The renthals sound good due to mark...i also like the Koxx ones does anyone know which are the best colour/best compound? (thats if i rode the thred correctly) Steve

(thats if i rode the thred correctly) Steve ← YEah, you can't really ride threads wrong (Y) The Koxx ones are just the same generic ones that most companies seem to peddle? If so, I really wouldn't recommend them. Sikamon's felt like utter shite. The only reason I'd ever think his were any good were 'cos they were free. If you dicks would all just buy Renthals, I wouldn't have to write long posts to try and extol the virtues of Renthals. Let me break this down. I have tried many, many grips. I am what, in nature, is known as a "Right Fussy Little Shit". I tear through grips. I haven't torn through the Renthals, they're thin, and they're lovely. I can't recommend them highly enough, and coming from a RFLS, that's high praise indeed. Buy the damn things now, or I'll eat your face. Full diamond, soft compound. Andy Vox
My experiance with lock ons was that they twist slightly within the collars, which means that its never 100% with the bar which got right on my tits. ← You can stop that easily, if you read the back of the box. You have to tighten one collar, then twist the other collar in one direction or the other and hold it there while you tighten that one up. Then its pushing against opposite sides of the two collars holding it firmly in place. >_<
streetjibs
Just adding to the list of riders who use Brahmas... Akkers! When he was out here he left his bike at my place (sorry i stil aint sent it back if u read this mate) but yeah he had those grips on there (now on my bike!) and they are awesome. Let me know where i can get more from!! Brahmas all the way! danny
