Thin Rubber Grips

I know they might not be 'thin' as such, but what about ODI lock-ons? They're super and widely known to be reliable and efficient.

Ruffians = 3 weeks then down to the plastic.

Best £15 ever.

Renthal ATV grips. Medium compound (last for forever in soft, pretty much, but just to be sure :-). Full diamond compound.

£6.99 (or maybe £7.99?), Off Road Only, or most Renthal distro's. CoustUK might do it, but I've never dealt with them so who knows.

They're really good though. A teensy bit thicker than Monty foams when they're new (the foam that is (Y)). I wear through grips in the time it takes to put these on, and these have only just started wearing after 5-6 months.

Definitely consider 'em though.

I also loved the ruffian lock ons, lasted me 7 months though, not 3 weeks :-

I used to love monty foams, but I cant stand them now, I am sure the thin grips make my arm pump worse.

Ali you still using the titec foam's? you still liking them, i might try some as i like yours and like the feel on foam instead of rubber

im going to be trying these on me new bike bontrager earl grips

local shop does um for like £8.99, they are pretty beefy but they are lock ons and for that price its worth getting just for the lock on bits as they are like £10 just for the lock ons on crc or summat.

i have only felt them in the hand they they do feel propper nice, maybe a bit fat. i will get back to you all on how long they last.

As mentioned, the Odi Ruffian lock on's are nice and thin. I got mine with an MBUK subscription. They certainly do lock on, and havent slipped at all but Im not finding them all that comfortable. Having said that as I only started trials last week it is probably just my hands rather than the grips! My Yeti grips I had on my DH were much more comfortable.....

yep.. i get them from onza... i use them... slinger uses them.. and dan butler does... best grips ever if you ask me

When i went on slingers bike, it felt like i was just holding the bars (Y)

VERY thin and not much padding on the hands either.

Go to your LBS if they do road racer bikes, get some of that rubber u wrap round the bars?

never used ti before, but i might do once my bontrager foam grips run out... if they do :-

Anything by Demolition is good in my books

The Deathgrips wear out in no time. Horizontal ribs = bad idea. The "Team" grips are thick. That covers most of the Demo bases. Shadow Con Li'l Dirty grips are where it's at. Thin, durable, nice.

That roadie bar tape is surprisingly thick, and utterly shite. Unless you do a super, super good job of it it just comes off, and it's just not any better than, say, the Renthal ATV/trials grips (Y)

Your hands must be made from sandpaper then... I've had mine on my DMR for over a year and, while there is slight wear, and they're bashed to buggery, the rubber is still way satisfactory.

:-

What do you use your DMR for? If it's just jumping and so on, you don't twist the grips as much as you do with trials as you're often in a similar-ish riding position for more of the time, whereas with trials the grip positioning of your hands tends to change all the time, pretty much. You hold on differently when you're on the flat than when you're hopping, on the back wheel, gapping - whatever.

My hands do appear to be rough as f**k, in fairness (Y)
