New Hope Hub

I actually pre-ordered one of those hope pro two hubs, but my hope mono totally knackered up so i couldnt wait for them to come out, as it will probably be months before they are released. So, i caught a bargain on ebay-a king classic on bmf rim and i have ridden it hard today with no problems, it has made my t-rex ride 10 times better than when it had the hope hub on.

They are on bikedock too, but i rang them and they dont have them in stock either. No where does yet.

More info there on the extra features etc^^^

Does look mighty good actually, hope are a wicked company so no doubt it will be awsome!

Tartybikes says approx £120 which is more than a mono but I think it'll be worth it!!!

Looks like it could be my next hub, getting fed up with my monos rubbish engagment and constant snapping springs.

Looking good!

Rob :) :P

I'll be getting one as soon as they are out, im fed up with my king. They slip, they are made of cheese and im constantly worried incase it decides it wants to knock all my teeth out on a gap.

I used to think that my king was awesome, but it was only because i spent so much on it, in all fairness they are shite. Many people seem clouded by the fact they cost a fortune meaning they must be good, and once you have brought one you wont admit they are crap because of how much you have spent. Hope are 100times better, better service, no slippage, and it doesnt say king on it.

At the end of the day king may have some kind of superior-ness about it but who wants a crap hub by a superior name over a good cheaper hub by a less superior company.

Buy english, buy hope and keep your teeth in your mouth.

I'd listen to this man ^^^^^

I've seen people smacking there faces countless times because of kings, my brother nearly lost 6 of his front teeth because of a hub skipping, he has now cut off all the nerves to his front teeth, with him having to have two operations to put then back into his mouth! Was not a pretty sight.

If the new hope is as gd as everyone is saying it is, i wouldd definately choose it over a highly over-rated chris king.

Cheers,

Josh.

Dave there has been countless times when your hub has skipped out riding with me. Maybe your just clouded by the amount it cost and therefore wont admit they are crap. I dont like mine and dont trust it. When i spoke to wayne he said you raved about yours for a few weeks and after that you didnt really say anything. So maybe it dropped below expectations. You may actually like yours but id rather go hope so i can trust it. My old xc skipped twice, ever!! If hope is good enough for the majority of pros its more than good enough for me, even if im going to miss the beautiful lawn mower sound. (Y)

this new hope looks ingenous, completely replaceable pawl carriers - all the bulb needed.

im definately getting one as it seems to be exactly what the bulb wanted to be.

hope said to me "christmas time" about 2 weeks ago, seems like a reasonable proto time.

i know what i want in my stocking :-

these hubs are not coming out until hope know they are going to work and right now they dont.

dont expect them to rush it, be patient and it'll be worth the wait.

i can safely say it will be the perfect hub for trials, a lot research has gone into not only the pawls and springs etc, but the freehub body material (to prevent cassette cogs digging in)

the latest pro 2 design which is on my bike at the moment does not have a replaceable pawl carrier, it is just a one piece cassette body, the older prototypes used the replaceable design though...................

soemone mentioned earlier........

quote: -

48 eps pff... keep trying lads....................

hope made a 72 ep pro 2, this did work but is now sat in my garage........ they changed the design completey due to flex,

the latest design which is on my bike, i am told is going to be the final one is very very similar to a profile hub, it is very strong with no skipping as of yet.

this hub linked up with a hope single speed kit is excellent and will be well worth the wait..........

in the hope newsletter it mentioned about them awaiting sparesfor the hubs and that expected delivery will be mid october............

any questions about this hub just pm me for details........

regards ash :)
