Cracking Sound....

Hi guys! I have been busy riding on my new bike today (only had it since monday), but I notice that when I pull on the handlebars or occasionally just stopping or starting something makes a "crack" sound. Not very loud but definately there!

Its coming from somewhere near the front of the bike I think - what are the main suspect areas to check?

I guess headset, and making sure all the bolts are done up okay - any other suggestions?

All the parts are new by the way and the headset is an FSA Pig Dh pro...

Thanks :)

put a smidge of grease on your bars.

take bars out of stem and on the corners of stem just put a touch of grease. if it carries on it would be the forks, if they are bonded??? check the bonding if not then the Q/R like the chap above said :) :) a smidge of grease tends to cure creaks.

Congratulations on your new bike . I was once infuriated and mystified by a creak that occured seemingly randomly . Having stripped the whole font end , I realised it was a brake cable ferrule moving in the frame's cable stop . Check and grease any possible culprits .
