Thom
hey guys I've got an echo pure and after i put my cranks and bashring on, i've noticed that theres about a 2mm gap between chainstay and bashring. My bb has a 118 spindle length and my cranks are holzfeller urbans with a blackspire granny god. Also, where i have dented my bashguard theres like a 1.5mm difference and cranks are 8mm away so its obviously way too close. I dont want to buy a new bb as this ones pretty new so any ways to fix this ? here are pics:
Smo™
It should run fine. You most likely won't need to change anything.
Si-man
Just buy a new bb, not that expensive Flex off the cranks will probs end up making it rub...
djb
that bash ring looks quite a bit larger than the chainring so if you're really fussed about it being so close you could possibly grind away a bit of it, personally i'd leave it as it is, a gap is a gap and as long as it runs fine then why worry? Thom
it's just that if I make a fair size dent then on the bashguard it'll start too touch, just prefer it to have a bit more space, maybe I can just put the bash on the outside....... Simpson
Yea. I had this prob. put in a bb spacer not a good idea as it will thread but it all needs changing anyway, so long as you dont get chain suck from a doggy link, or bent chainring, a gap a mill or a mile is fine.
