dave85
Get the steerer extended, i've had a set running with a pretty advanced rider for over a year now in perfect safety.
BikeDotStuffAtOnzaDotCom
How much too short have you cut them? You could use a fork extender, as has been mentioned. They're about a tenner. measure twice and cut once... isn't it the other way round? ;)
Alex.loves.boys
Get the steerer extended, i've had a set running with a pretty advanced rider for over a year now in perfect safety. ← hum where can i get one of them? looks like the ehcos forks are onlyt coming in black now so may have to buy another set of lite guys. so is it worth gettn lite guys or not? BikeDotStuffAtOnzaDotCom
Here: EBay Item number: 7178602709 The reason I asked how much too short is that I would definitely not recommend this if your fork column didn't at least pass through both sets of headset bearings. The stem needs to stick out slightly above the top so that the top cap pulls it down for tightening. If it doesn't, you need to use spacers so that it does. I think I made sense... RicH_87
the blakc ones? ← :P The Team forks only come in silver. I've painted mine black myself, they don't come like that. They are really really nice forks, but thats what you'd expect for £110 ;) Get em if you have the dosh, i love mine :- Only complaint is that they don't come with a cable guide, even though they only come with a disc mount, whats that all about. Simpson
Measuring? I cut them by putting all of the kit on stem spacers if you want e.t.c. then make a little mark with the saw, then cut a few mm bellow that. How on earth did you get it SO wrong?
