Prawny Baby Posted September 1, 2005 Report Share Posted September 1, 2005 looking at the pic in the first post, if thats an exhaust component, id say its the gasket that will most likely go between the manifold and the downpipe.... and bucky, running with no gasket CAN and WILL damage your engine.... depending on where you leave the gasket out! if you miss out a gasket on the inlet manifold, then its going to suck in air, thus seriously leaning off the mixture, which we all know will lead to burnt out valves and things getting seriously hot.... not good! if you leave out the exhaust gasket where the manifold meets the head, the blow will eventually worsen, and burn the face of the head.... so next time round, it wont seal properly! then you will need to take the head off and have it faced! both the above could be considered a f**ked engine to your average car owner....
