According to one set of comp rules 24" is definitely stock, I just cant remember if its UCI or the other one. It said in an old MBUK in an article that Ashton wrote that to enter in the stock category you needed 26" or 24" wheels, at least 6 gears and no sump guard as a basic definition of trials rules.

So whats the situation with 24" at competitions then? A new category for themselves? (Y)

i don't think it matters about allowing 24" in comps anyhow - most people that want to compete and do well will either ride mod or stock anyhow!

and if you have a 24" and just want to compete for a laugh, good time and against your mates - you can just ride the same route as them, but out of class. which pretty much all trials clubs will let you do

Tykes its all good, but how many 24" boys do you see competing at world standard?

none, but you can't enter any world champs on a 24" !!

Isn't a 24" classed as a stock bike because it doesn't have the bash plate to balence on? or it may well have ive never actually seen

but in that case would a CLS phython be a stock and a base ta26 a mod??

at the end of the day, does anyone really give a shit... its a bike, you ride it!!
