grantham
on my last day in Japan I snapped my left hand tensile in half. So was fairly annoyed but had a spare one at home. so i've just gone out to build up my bike and put on my spare tensile and after 30-40 minutes riding in the garden, the same has happened to this one. i've never heard of one snapping before and not in quick succession. has anyone else had any problems? How old were they?
grantham
one arm was only 3 months old. I sent that one to supercycles today and then, when i got home ive done the other set  not going to look good when i send them another crank. I wouldn't worry Janson there quality cranks just strange they have gone.
joe b
Weird, man. So youve snapped three one after the other, patt? Joe.
Chris Cook
Definatly send them back if you have only had them for that amount of time... Ring them up first and tell them what happend and they should replace them
Janson
unlucky patt.. i remember the freak pinch you got at the euros earlier this year.. you were just rolling into the section, setting up for getting up a ledge and PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS goes the tube. gonna go check for cracks before i ride tomorrow

Will Arnold
yer, i snapped a set too, on the right side this time... but to be fair i got them as they came out and they snapped a few mopnths ago, so they had definitely stood up to alot of crap, lol. anlso supercycles replaced them  all i had to do was pay for the bash rings and the spline fitting upgrade  Will
Bennnn
Why are they quality cranks if they're always snapping? Seem like shit to me for what you pay for.
NeillyB
Kinda putting me off getting them.... might go for the RS7's, classic banter they are, got them on my Sidekick instead of my Onza so I know they're good
mat hudson
considering how many have sold not many have snapped+ their stiff as fook
NeillyB
True mate, true, I don't want to metamorphisise into one of those people that see one snapped part on a forum and decide to banish that certain product and / or company from their lives forever... I ride a DMR Sidekick as well, for fooks sake
JIX
Compare the amount of time the tensiles have been out. Then compare the amount of time middleburns have been out. Then compare the number of each set that have snapped and you get a clear winner  If you run ff then maybe the best bet for you is to get one tensile on the drive side and one middleburn for the non-drive side
Waynio
i would emphasize on this one that i had mine over 18months and didnt snap them!!!!! and i had ground the lip off mine too!!!! mine are pretty bent (after putting a new set on that were new and straight) and mine didnt snap????altho i would never let anyone ride them again apart from myself. people "abuse" things and i probably do it the worse yet im not breaking them???? Waynio..................... i wouldnt worry about it im sure you will get replacement cranks cheap.......
CurtisRider
my tensiles were the tits when i had them (were on my bike that got nicked  ) uber stiff and i never had a problem with the lip mangling my ankles/shoes as others do... ok so this is 3 or 4 sets that have broken now? thats nothing-also considering the price, id say thats pretty darn impressive! judging by the shite some of you guys give you bikes...

ScotchDave
Yeah but Alan, I'm 13+ stone and I recently replaced my old tensiles cos they were looking hagard and were apporaching the end of their crash replacement warranty. I'm heavy and I don't think I'm smooth, so why do others snap?
grantham
im not saying that tensiles are rubbish, ill be using my replacements without a doubt. Just wiered how mine went in quick succession. Wayne do you have copies of receipts at the shop as one set is what i bought off you. cheers
