nb88
Got some echo team forks 2nd hand a while ago and i want to replace the star nut as im trying to sort my headset out... the starnut doesnt seem to want to fit though as the steerer is a lot thicker than normal, and the star nut that is in at the moment is bent around the sides loads so its obviously just been bashed in. Do i just bash a normal size star nut in there somehow or are there different sizes? Cheers. Noz.
rich4130
I have a feeling you get one that is designed for forks with a 1" steerer tube, should fit better if the steerer tube is really thick walled, LBS job..
Davetrials
I used a normal one in my echo pures those have a f**k of steerer, just hit it harder, got to ur lbs and use the star fangled nut tool, to fit it.
Danny
Compress it in slightly on all the faces either in a vice or with some pliers/mole grips then it should go in fine.

RicH_87
NOOOO don't squash a normal starnut in! just go down the shops and buy a 1" starnut for like £1 :P if you try and squash a normal one in, the chances of it being in flat aren't too good and it'll pull up the steerer when you try and tighten the top cap bolt. Trust me, we had the same problem on my old Koxx forks. :P
