Tony Harrison
I hereby apologise for my laziness in not working this out for myself. I am pathetic, dirty, low-down and no-good. I am worth less than a pig. But if anyone would be charitable enough to answer my questions then I would be eternally grateful. Please could somebody tell me the spoke lengths for the following combinations of hub and rims... 1) Chris King (non disk), 32H, 3 cross on a Koxx rim and 2) the same hub with an X-lite Phatso/BMF/DX32 If it helps, the hub is black... Thanks ever so much.

Tony Harrison
Thanks, but I don't know the dimensions. (Y)
James_Porter
i think it will be 264:266... you dirty low life, get a job and start working out your own spoke lengths and stop using this like some sort of place where you can get questions answered. (Y) im only messing, i think i *might* be right with the spoke lengths though, maybe.

Tony Harrison
I thank you both, and have applied for a job as a Christmas tree decorator. Didn't realise the Koxx rim would need spokes that much shorter - I suppose it's due to having the holes offset from the centre line? Anyway, thanks for the help. You're too kind. CurtisRider
dont all rims have spoke holes offset from the centre? ive never seen one with them all dead centre........ :P or did you mean something else?
Hobnobs
dont all rims have spoke holes offset from the centre? ive never seen one with them all dead centre........ :P or did you mean something else? ← Viz rims have all the holes smack bang in the middle, gets a bit frustrating when you're building it as you have no idea which are the left and right hand spokes holes. Tony Harrison
Yes it does - the drive side ones will still be shorter.

ScotchDave
The offset just means that your spokes don't enter the rim at as steep an angle as a non offset rim, but the rim needs to be dished so the spokes on the drive side will be shorter. Tomm
Oh no I see, we have crossed wires. I was just saying that since the holes were in the middle of the rim, it doesn't matter which holes you use. Of course the drive side spokes still need to be shorter, I'm not that stupid :P
ScotchDave
It won't matter which holes the spokes go in, apart from the fact that normally the offset of other rims help you decide how the best way to lace it up to make room at the valve is. :P
