Quick Dh Question

Well, I guess they've got sus so there's less stress on welds and stuff on the frame, which will in turn help it last longer.

Full sussers also tend to be overbuilt to some extent, moreso than rigids. Therefore, when you ride it 'normally', it'll have plenty of strength, so it should last longer theoretically.

A proper dh bike would last forever just doing "normal cycling", then again that would be a huge waste of money if that was all it would be used for.

Edit: Most bikes even the cheapest would last a pretty long time just for getting from a to b, unless a is like the top of a cliff and b is the bottom. But yeah all bikes should last ages just normal riding.

Not to mention it'd be knackering, and feel like utter shite, as all "proper" DH bikes do when not ridden DH. A friend here had a Sintesi Bazooka with 12" travel up front and 10" at the rear, and that was the worst handling bike ever, but apparently was 'good' for DH. Couldn't hop up a curb on it though 'cos there was 4" of sag front and rear to get through B) Just ended up sorta trying to hop, and just unweighting the sus enough to let it absorb it...
