Hi, i have just put a fresh grind on my back wheel and my magura pads are working crap. I dont know which brake pads to get out of koxx brown or coustillier pads. I have heard that koxx browns are really good on a grind and that they dont wear down easily either, but i have heard that coustillier are absoloutly amazing but i am not sure where i can purchase a pair from. can somebody please help me as i am desperate for a new pair of brake pads but i can not decide between the two. :P

Thanks :P

I have used koxx browns and i was impressed. They may not have the squeaky sharp bite to them like zoo pads (i have used those on a grind too), but once the brake is locked they wont budge. They have lots of lock but not much bite. I ran mine on a harsh grind too and in a few weeks riding they have shown no wear signs at all. Also its sometimes nice to have a silent brake as it makes you sound smoother and you dont annoy people with high pitched squeals everytime you pull the lever. I know very little about coust pads except that they are very hard to get hold of, or so i heard. B)

Coust pads are very good pads. Amazing bite and they hold aswell as koxx brown. The only problem people have is with them wearing at very uneven angles because of the shit backings.

I run koxx brown on a harsh grind and I cant see me ever changing. They dont bite the best but they rule in every other catagory. The only pads I might try over the koxx brown is the plaz, but only in the summer. For wet the koxx wins again for me.

You can get coust pads from Fat mike. They are worth a try, I almost did but was put off by the backings. They are the same price, and you will need to use a grind with either.

i found my koxx browns worked amazing on a fresh grind, but totally pants when the grind had worn off a bit (talking like 2week+ old grind).

i'm running cousts now, they seem to have amazing lock and hold on a worn grind, and even better with a fresh grind. they have proper wank backings though.

this is on a ronnie rim, stone cutting disc for grinds.

I run plazmatics and i have on a clean rim, a fresh grind and a old grind, and plaz work the tits on all 3 but i find they work best on a old grind, They have a very good wear rate aswell. Get plaz good for the money (Y) :P

Untill it rains, and they plaz pads realy do suck, they don't realy work well in wet at all, amazing pads in the dry, as long as there is no dust.

Personaly, i think i would go with koxx bloxx, i have just been running plaz, and at dusty comps they just lose all power, and end up slipping (causing major back pain  :D ) and in the wet, u can just forget u have a back brake.
