Dan Campbell
When me and a few mates went to New York we went American Airlines. Surprisingly they were the cheapest at the time. Try http://www.expedia.co.uk aparently they are very good. Just be careful with "bargain" flights someone i know got conned out of about £600 on flights to America. Pay a little more to know your going to actually be boarding! hope thats some use. Dan

I think it was a site that was up for a week took a load of money then cleared out. Try and stick with known companys and you should be fine. endofreak
You could try a website like THIS one that searches through most major airlines so that you can compare prices and get the best value for money. The site above is just the first one I found, I'm sure there are plenty more.
Drew
I flew to LA this summer. Check out opodo.com - it's another search thingy. Also, flightcentre.co.uk does a similar job. Other than that, try the usual expedia and lastminute.com. The very cheapest way to do it is to get it from the states. If you know anyone over there ask them about it - getting the tickets shipped to them so they can send them on. My mate at uni is american and goes to and from the states 4 or 5 times a year - he never pays more than about 300 quid return  Good Luck!
