Clownbike
I just ordered some yesterday, my topic was similar to yours about HS33 pads. Anyways......the pads seem to have good reviews for unground rims, otherwise the wear rate is very fast. But for £6 you can't go that wrong in my opinion. And when the new heatsink pads come out for £10, you will be able to afford them, instead of spending £17 odd pound on one set of pads.....this is my thinking, being an Economist :"> and this is most prob what i'm going to do Neil
Luke Drewery
I ordered two sets off the heatsink website and i thought they would be like my zoo pads on a grind, super powerful and sharp but at the sacrifice of wear life. I fitted them on and set up my brake really well but i was dissapointed, they were just like my koxx browns, no bite, no sharpness or noise but just a swooshy sound and good lock. I was hoping for them to be super shap and squeaky but they dont even have that and are wearing down very fast. For £6 they arent bad, im gonna wait till i get my new wheel which i wont grind until i fit the other set, when these have worn the koxx pads are going back on for now. Heatsink
Hi Scunnytrials, Here's a stroke of luck for you which I hope will help: I have a pair of some pads here on my desk which are in consideration for the production pads I finally go for. I'd love you to try these out in comparison with the previous pads you've tried and let me know if they give you what you're looking for! Of course you can keep them whatever happens B) This is a real one off offer - I just happened to be surfing and had both the pair of pads available and the unresolved question waiting to be answered! There is only one pair available I'm afraid, and I can't afford to give more freebies away, so please no messages/emails about other freebies! I really hope that the vast majority of riders find great performance and value for money from the Honig pads that are being cleared. Rest assured there will be no doubt over the final released pads peformance and astounding value for money when they are available in a couple of weeks time :P Steve I ordered two sets off the heatsink website and i thought they would be like my zoo pads on a grind, super powerful and sharp but at the sacrifice of wear life. Onza Kieron
I love my Heatsinks but i was riding down a hill and suddenly, no rear brake, oh dear, my rubber had pulled of the backing.Very disapointed but still a good pad if they stay put. I have just been talking to steve and my views of heatsink have drastically changed, he has given me his apologies and is sorting the problem, top guy, i will be buying more pads from him in the future. modrider666
Do i get the immpresion that someone is after some free pads (Y)" My honigs are OK, but like scunnytrials they just dont hold!!. Ilove the swooshing sound compared to tar, but prefer tar because of the immense braking. These pads have already caused me to hurt my back twice from flipping (Y) . O well im going back to zoo pads on a smooth rim. Best brake i ever had :)

mat hudson
they have very good lock but wear out too quickly (this is being worked on (Y) ) the first batch also ripped out of the backings this has been remedied and all people with problems have had their pads replaced. nb88
I got some a few days ago and theyre the best hold on pads ive had before, and really good bite aswell. Theyve worn down about 2mm after 3 rides though, but as theyre £6 i thought id give em a try and they are ace pads if you run a lighter grind.
