Best Tensioner About?

Trials Boy

Recommended Posts

well all that force on ur hub and chain cant be good, as if the chains to tight it will f**k the bearings in the hub, not saying its not good it does look rather good, but just not for trials

it would be ace on a jump bike where you dont land on the chain

But mods have chain tensioners with no "give" in them either. They look OK, I have changed my opinion on all these "no spring" tensioners since I got the Leeson one which works perfectly. As long as the roller is soft enough, and the mounting firm enough, you can get away with no spring. Having said that I've not used the Fresh one so I can't say if that's good or not. But it might be (Y)

mod has smaller cogs so it sticks out less, and they usally have a bash plate so the chain doesntget touched.

iv used loads of tensioner and have made some and i have found ones with out a spring kill chains and hubs..

oh well imo i dont think its any good for trials.

ye the fresh one when i had one of the first ones seemed ok.

i use a rohloff one and they are deffo one of the best about its just they have a more expensive price tag of £50ish.the rohloff one is directly inline with the hanger instead of sticking out like mechs normally do, very similar to the fresh one.
