Posted August 23, 2005 Author Report Share Posted August 23, 2005 btw yes they arent the same hub. well not according to what i been told, and bikedock wont be able to do much, except i got a new hub minus disc mount and qr for 20 quid so just nicked axle and bearing, sugest that to them B) ← They should give me a hope free of charge. The disc mount on the american classic hubs is part of the hub shell and is machines, not a seperate screw on part. If you really dont know anything about the part then take it to your local bike shop and ask them, or post up a pic of the hub so we can get a look and come up with some more informed suggestions!!! The disc mount on the american classic hubs is part of the hub shell and is machines, not a seperate screw on part. The newest American Classic hubs do have that arrangement, a screw on disc mount. I thought a disc that can unscrew is probably a bad idea for trials. In a sealed bearing unit that isn't smooth any more, replacing the bearings is easiest - just make sure nothing else is damaged or out of line first (just in case).
