MikeWarner
I read the pad thread but still not 100% sure which pad to get. I am running HS33s and Mavic 721CD rims with no grind. I'm not interested in wet weather performance either. I'm thinking Plazmatic CRMs, but thought I would check with you guys first. Thanks. JIX
I think zoo's are the best on a smooth rim, I have never used them but from dissuccions on here that was the impression I got. Plaz are really good on a grind, so Im not sure about a smooth rim
rich4130
Plaz are great on a smooth rim, I ran them for ages, has to be kept clean though.
matt_urban
blue rimjams are the best :P you wont find a better one on a cd rim :)

Trebor
try the magura cd specific green frog pads? also bennifer uses blacks on a cd and has no problems It's on a ceramic, so instead of spending a few pounds extra on pads he just bought silly expensive rims :(" Plazmatic or Zoo's! Gte the zoo pads. I have some Koings that you can buy if you want. Been used once for about a week. Say £8 posted. ← Arn't they £6 new now? Brian Bleech
I have the konigs on my vee brake :( awesomness so far - I recommend them. Also had a go on someones bike that had zoo! on a smooth rim - they were good too. Mike
Tomm
My Konigs were really good on a smooth rim. Really nice modulation and plenty of hold. Almost silent too. Until it rained. Obviously while it was raining I had no grip, but even when it dried up it's still pretty rubbish. I suspect it's just dirty or something and needs a good clean, but I haven't got around to that yet. I have some Honigs to try, I presume they're fairly similar? I'll use them when the Konigs wear out (Wear rate actually doesn't seem to be that bad when they're on a smooth rim :( )
SQuiT-man
Zoos, Heatsink Honigs (£6 a set!) or Konigs seem to be your best bet perhaps. I had a bad experience with Rimjam Blues, but hopefully their newly prototyped ones should be better
Mr Motivator
I'm thinking Plazmatic CRMs, but thought I would check with you guys first. Thanks. ← Yup, you got it. I used to use my plaz CRMs on a smooth before I ground and they were amazing! Just have to make sure that you keep the braking surface 100% clean and free of dust and they'll be great :( Sam
