Rich Pearson
After almost totally destroying my Hope rear hub today, I've decided I definately need a new rear hub. The ones I'm looking at are the Pofile SS Cassette, the profile 8/9speed cassette and the hope bigun'. I need something that can build a very strong wheel to take the forces of a rear disc, decent engagement and a strong freewheel. The hub I had was a hope bulb which I've had for about 10 months and has finally started dying. I know next to nothing about the above listed hubs so any advice or suggestions for other hubs greatly appreciated. Cheers Rich Edited August 17, 2005 by karsonlevoret
Lawnmowerman
Send it back to hope and get it fixed free of charge :P
Mr Motivator
Hope PRO II :P Clive will sort you out :)
Siders77
I know you ride Stock but i've just got a Profile on my Mod (about 2 months ago now) and it's really nice. Nice engagements and it's only skipped a few times since i've had it. Or you could always go with a rear King? Check out www.chrisking.tk which is Fatmikes website. It gives you info about the hub and prices etc. :P
Rich Pearson
The pro 2 looks temping, and cheap. Anyone know anything more about it? I don't just want another bulb in a different packaging. Anyone know much about the profile stock hubs? Mr Motivator
Pro II has 48 engagments and the usual amazing customer service. Profile will be about £200. ISO Chris king, HD axle, steeldriveshell, funbolts will set you back £244 (If you get it from the right place)
Janson
i have heard that the profile cassette hubs do not work very well on stock trials bikes. i can not guarantee that this information is correct, but it is only what i have heard. king? Tomm
I don't just want another bulb in a different packaging. ← Then you certainly don't want a Big 'Un, that's exactly what they are. BULB = Big Un's Little Brother, same internals, but the Big Un has bigger flanges and that. Another vote here for King - Be a Tart™
