dave33
take the pads and rotor off wash them in hot water with fairy, put the pads in the oven for a bit, the oil will evaporate from them then, when you put them back on bed them in like normal. dont bother with disc break cleaner as they are mostly oil based so the leave a residue after and that makes the brake shit (Y)
Ingram
you need to let your disc bed in again if you sanded them both.

Krisboats
mine did the exact same thing the other day. i got hope shit shifter on it and couldn't get it off at all. anyways, i went out riding with jono and conner and jono got me to ride around while holding the brake on. then we splashed water on it and watched it steam and hiss. i got the bite back in the brake and it meant i was able to ride again, well, till my chain snapped. :ermm: just out of curiosity what did u do to get it working again? dave33
you sure about that? says on the tin, 'gets rid of dirt, grease and oil' or words to that effect :ermm: ← yea thats what happened when iv used it in the past, its ok for downhill bike and xc bikes as they go fast enough to heat the disc up and the shit comes off then, but for trials you never really get ur discs hot, so iv stayed clear off it from then on. Matthews
Black pads and Koolstops don't work with tar very well as I have found... But then again I'm using a Koxx rim, so not all pads work great on it... ← I'm running Koolstops on a rear brushed onza hog and the only way it wil work is with tar B) Anyway new heatsink pads were delivered today :P Joe :P
