Whiteboy Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 ok well i have a sun doublewide on its way in green :P so bassicly the plan is that i want to make it black :) now are sun rims anozided? how would i go about spraying it? if i wanted to do it myself hamerite the way to got or primer colour laquer? would i snad the surface to roughen it up? also if i toook it to a powder coating place would they be able to do all of it strip it then paint it? how much do you think that would cost? thamnks tom Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you want to spray it with cellulose or acrylic, you'll need a metal primer that works with aluminium, like an etch primer. Last time I looked at this it was £10 for an aerosol. Davetrials Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 roughen it up, but the wheel in your bike and spin it while spraying , it works and its even, then leave to dry and repeat process with primer, then grind your rim, thats what i did to my bmx wheels.
