Josephine
Simple quick question, will and Echo Bashring fit on Echo FFW cranks with an ACS Claw without me having to grind the tabs off the freewheel? And the same question again but with Monty mod cranks instead of Echos :- Cheers, Joe (UN53 68x127.5mm in an '04 Hydra by the way) Edited August 16, 2005 by Josephine
Sponge
Yes and yes, the tabs are only ground off so they don't rub against the Bottom bracket cups on the outside of the frame's BB shell... I have seen a fair few Monty cranks take ACS claws and echo bashrings... Echo cranks certainly can do that too..You'll need a fairly wideish bottom bracket though. Josephine
I know that's why they're ground off, but I really don't want to do that, my record with freewheels is poor at best and I want to be able to get it off. Joe

Janson
you might want a spacer on the bb axle. some bbs come with them, some don't. i know i have to use one if i want to keep the tabs on my freewheel.
