Whiteboy
ok well hopefully i shall be getting a echo pure now i was wondering if some people could help me on some questions: #1. at the momment i have tensile on my woodstock, there on a 118x68mm fsa bb. is this bottom bracket going to have enough clearence with my cranks? #2. headsets, the frame iam buying ive been told that it has a very slightly flared head tube, now i have heard that a fsa pig cups are 2mm wider than most others, is this true? is there any other decent headsets that are sligtly wider than normall? ive been looking at a few which say best out of these: FSA orbit uf (17.99), WTB Momentum Cartridge Bearing(16.99). #3. what bb rise does the frame have with 400mm forks? #4 the new kot forks, are they the same as echo pures? anyone used them what they like? thanks tom

If someone selling a frame says it's "slightly flared", what they actually mean is that it's completely f**ked. And I don't think you really don't want that. Just leave it well alone, to be honest. And no, it isn't gonna be wider than any other headsets, certainly not by 2mm.

Mr Motivator
+10 bb :shifty: Could get a king steelset if youve got a few bucks spare as they are much longer than any headset out there.
Ali C
is it Iolos? if so I had the frame before him and I flaired the cups, I didnt notice till I took the forks out and the headset came out with them :shifty:" all in all, it didnt make any difference apart from being easier to put together  it also has a level bb hight if it isnt his, then dont read the above. I happily used a 118mm bb in my pure, no clearence issues at all
eMAyaRKay
I neede the longer bb when i got my pure (123mm i think or the nearest to that) i'm running tensiles too. the 118mm was too short.

Whiteboy
anyone have any idea on the forks? do they bend like the pures? what length are the pures and what length the kots?
Bigman
Get control forks Tom, they are so much nicer than either, lol, yet still realy light, mine come out to around 780g with vee mounts still on, and a cut down steerer, plus the controls have the beasty disc mount, unlike the older pures, or the new KOT forks, plus, why any one want forks longer than 400mm is beyond me  Adam
