Mod Forks

Burton

Recommended Posts

First off i've just broke me Echo Teams after about 9 months of abuse, while doing a sidehop(if you've seen the Spanish comp vid of Benito Ros about to sidehop over the bar, thats what happened).

I need some forks that have Magura 4-Bolt mounts.

TartyBikes may have some in stock, but Dave is on Holiday! :) :)

So may plans would be to buy some Echo Teams whenever( BikeDock aren't sure about when they'll have some, SelectBikes dont have any, Trials-UK is away).

But to just keep me riding, shall i get some Monty Hydra forks from Cleanbikes?

Cheers(btw i dont want second hand forks)

ding.

And that last pic's 4 frames ago :)

I've used and still use that same pair of forks for half of my trials career. They feel amazingly nice, too. Plus that good ol' 2 year crash replacement warranty.

Diamond :)

Are they the Monty forks then?

I think i've made my decision and im going to get the Monty forks, so long as Barbra has some! Unless anywhere has some Echo teams?

but then again they weigh nearly as much as the house the bike is leant against.
Weight isnt really an issue Edited by dan_t-lite

They're the Onza Fallguys.

They weigh about 3lbs, at a guess.  I know it's over 1kg.  Either way, they "ride light" because they're just the perfect length for me.  They're awesome forks.

Ah reet. I aint willing to spend that much on some forks for just a months o so.

I think im just gonna go with the hydras, until Dave gets back, or someone gets some forks in stock!!!

Not quite the exact same looking as Echo Team 2005 forks... The CNC bit on the GU forks is sort of flat, whereas the Echo forks are sort of 'dug in'... Just compare the two at the CNC section near steerer and you'll see :shifty: .

They probably have slightly different geometry to eachother and they only look similar aesthetically.

Both disk only though :shifty: Bastards!

Same with the Zoo! fork, although CLS is testing some magura mounted version?(see site pics)
