JT!
I'm after an mp3. Price range no more than £40 (thats inc everything P&P, VAT etc). I'm not after anything super cool, i just want something that will hold a few songs. The most important thing that i am after is something that has a really good battery life. And must be rechargeable because i don't want to be faffing with batteries. Also must be able to send via USB. :P So can anyone link me to anything that might suit? Capacity doesn't really matter because if i get one with a lithium battery it's more than likely going to have a good capacity anyway. And looks doesn't matter as it's just going to sit in my pocket next to my balls. :P Thank you! :P Edited August 6, 2005 by JT!
Dan6061
I've just got myself an MP3 Player. Got it in Tenerife on holiday for 45 euros (around £30) It's made by Unimade and has 256MB, Voice recorder, Radio, USB 2.0 the lot! Just got back from holiday (now 4:30am!) and i'm filling it up with music. /\/\/\ Thats the 512mb, but looks the same (mines silver :P )
Tomm
THIS ONE fo' sho'. I just bought one. They're really nice, really small and nice features. The whole unit breaks into two - one bit is the battery holder and the other is the actual player which doubles as a USB key. So you just plug that in. Battery life is really good - I don't think they're lying when they say 15hrs. Plus it just takes AAA batteries, so you can take a couple of spares if you're away or something. I think that's about it :P

(Y) ← Lasts me over a week with daily use and id barely call it all singing all dancing. A £2-3 pack of AAA batteries every month is hardly braking the bank and id also prefer to be able to nip into a shop near uni and get some more than have no music on the way home :P

Corish
Lets answer like most people do Why don't you just buy a whole new sound system with 12 Inch subs mate that'll do the trick But I'm not being serious Id say get the Logik 256Mb one, I have one, my mates do and there brilliant for the money, 35 Pound my mate got one for today. (Unless i listen to it for 12 hours in one day which is unlikely) What's the life of re-chargable batteries anyway? As in how long will it be befor it dosn't hold any chearge at all like my laptop battery? And can you easily re-place them?
fairy elephants
could you not get one without the rechargeable batteries, and get rechargeable AAA's? thats what I'll be getting for mine when my duracels run out... (Y)
trials_goddess
If your getting a cheap player be careful which one you choose, I got a cheap one and it just got stuffed and I had take it back, When I took mine back to the shop the lady said that all of those players (Conwa) were dodgy. Your better off to get a rechargable one as my took AAA batteries and the it had something wrong with it and it used a battery in like 2 hours! My friend has the same player and hers lasted a bit longer but now is stuffed and you can't put songs on it anymore. My other friend got a Conia one which was also pretty cheap, but his is rechargable and it's still working fine! So go with a recharable one! (Y) ← Yeah, that's what I meant when I posted the one up there ^^^. IMO a player that takes AAA is far better than one that recharges off the USB, as you can take spare batteries with you. I.e. on holiday and stuff :)
Joel
whatever you do... do not buy from ebay unless they ship from uk. it usually take 3 weeks an over priced p+p. i would get one that does use batterys (provably AAA) cause it is quite annoying when you battery runs out and you have to charge it for 3 hours and the rechargeable batterys will die in a year or 2. just some help. Bluegrass
A bit off topic here, but if anyones thinking of going bigger, i.e 5GB players, DO NOT get the Creative Zen Micro. Had mine for 7 days and its died. Same with a mates player. (Y) So now im wanting one of the smaller 256/512mb players....who needs 2,500 tracks on a 5gb player anyway?! lol I'm gonna look into ebay and some of the links you guys have given :)
