CHECK THE LINK AND VOTE WHICH WOULD BE BEST ON A DARK METALLIC GREY FOCUS.

OK, i bought an 8 month old ford focus, 1.6 zetec, 5 door, 14000 miles, blah blah blah. It's very nice etc etc.

Iam no fan of modding, and will be leaving it well alone, but i do like the look of lexus lights on a focus. I don't think they look cheap as the car they are on is decent in the first place.

I am gonna get some, but i truly can't decide which, black or silver. What is the general consensus about colour. Remember the car is dark metallic grey.

Spanks very much.

For my sins, in a previous life I bought some of the www.ruracing.co.uk adhesive perforated sheet and fitted it over the rear lights of my fiesta after it had been sprayed the same colour as the car. Looked rubbish close up, and was a knightmare to mould around the light curvature and cut in situe (removed some of the paintwork) but in my opinion, the stealth look is much better than bright white lights all round.

Be careful though John! It's a slippery slope to full Barry boydom!

Steve

The guy next door to me has the silver ones. The look cack. Really plasticky and horrible, they are just to busy and messy. The grey ones look less crap, if thats any help?  (Y)

Definitely the black ones Jonathan. I see so many cars with 'clear' (colourless?) rear lenses and they look stupid. Like, a dark red car with clear rear lenses... just doesn't work. Darker ones are nicer because they blend in a bit - clear ones just stick out. And look shite. Like the Fiesta I saw the other day on 18's. Why. Even. Bother. Bet it drives like a toad, and you needed a step-ladder to climb into the thing.

Silver looks like they were bought of a market stall, and the black ones look murky and crap.

Can't you get some dark smoked ones?

if not, and it HAS to be one of the above, go black, but try and find some nicer ones.

EDIT: LIKE THESE

HERES SOME MORE OPTIONS, THE NICE ONES ARE 4TH FROM THE BOTTOM

Spray can look merky and cloudy, use black tights (Y)

I did my mates for him with some tinting spray followed by some hellfrauds lauqer they look fine appart from a few bits of muck in the paint which could be flatted and buffed out. The tinting spray leaves a dull matt finish hence the laquer.

Heres a pic...

He had silver lexus light before they looked awfull on a black car so probably would on a dark grey.

Imagine that all de-badged and smoothed off everywhere.

With black tinted windows and maybe slightly bigger alloys, would look amazing!!!!

Jeeeeese, these 2 years before i can drive are going to be very slow i bet!!

Why is the stealth look for some reason suddenly coming into fashion as soon as i get the idea and plan it all out on my car? When i get a car, everyone will think i'm following a fad. (Y)

Get the clear ones. (Y)
