Ali C
the way I always remeber to turn them is the spanner pushes towardes the back wheel from above for both pedals
ghosts_cloak
:"> I had the same problem a few weeks ago when taking the pedals off my old bike, so I called my grandad and he just turned the spanner the other way - I thought he had stripped the threads in the crank! Lol! But now I know! ~Gareth
Richie
take the crank arm off and then i find you can use the crank and a spanner as leverage.
Onza Kieron
If you still cant get it off then do what richie said then put it on the floor and stamp on it. Works everytime when its stamped on the correct side (Y) . Kieron (Y)
CBProductions
Spray some lube into the other side of the crank arm and when and if you get it off I suggest a service of the bike i.e greasing parts that tend to seize. Craig
Tony Harrison
Yeah, left hand pedal, left hand thread - right hand pedal, right hand thread. And we all know that a right hand 'normal' thread does up when you turn clockwise. If you're not careful and get it wrong, you might strip a thread in one of your cranks, and that just isn't amusing.
