modrider666
Hi everyone, Im getting the new echo team in about a month, and i noticed they do a long and short version. I am currently riding a levelboss short and i find it a bit limited when doing wheel swaps etc. Im about 5ft 8''. Im just wondering what all your thoughts are on what size frame i should get, :shifty: Thanks. Also while on the topic anyone now a good isis bb size for the frame. 122.5mm,124mm ??. Thanks Peter The short one is 1000mm The long one is 1030mm Edited July 31, 2005 by modrider666

Joe Papasnap Maher
what type of riding you do??? proper trials, or do you like 180's, manual(more streety stuff)?? Ive got a short, and i love it, suits my style so much, very stretty, yet i can still do huge trials stuff, i say get short, u get the best of both worlds, and its more flicky, short :shifty:
Michael Hardman
I have a short aswell went from a long so I could swap between bmx and trials and it worked. Now my bikes broken again like usual.

Anyway, get the long version Peter :D You wont regret it

Hiltop
i got the long version and i love it (i went from a levelboss long). doesnt stop me doing 'streety' stuff like people say it will just makes it a bit harder. but then you gain in other areas like sidehopping hooking and gapping. i cant answer the question to be honest cause only you can decide which length you prefer. try and find other peoples to get an idea which one you prefer, everybody is different. 1030 isnt that long either for me 5 foot 10 seems just right. suppose if you feel the short bike is limiting you, you should look at the longer bike. modrider666
Thanks everyone for the replies, The long one does seem tempting. My riding style is gaps, sidehops, etc. The pure trials style on street. I also ride natural, but no where near as much as i ride street, mainly just the YMSA rounds Keep views coming, :shifty: Edited July 31, 2005 by modrider666

Hiltop
the long version feels nothing like a python though. to me a python feels like a bloody boat. the long version isnt anywhere near as drastically long as a python, or atleast to me it doesnt feel it. it is comparable to a levelboss long though so see if you can try one of them. and hey if we all did what the pros do we would be poncing about in lycra. Olly C
and you can have a go on my short team , peoople say mine rides link a tank those (Y) ← I want a go on your team, I'd like to get a team next time round, I'd probably go for long because its short that the Python and has shorter stays so t should be eaiser all round for street stuff. The Python is wank for street though, yea you can do it but I wouldn't trust a 12ft bunnyhop gap to manual on a Python like I would with my T-Pro or T-bone, gone are those days... Now I have to static it :- Ride the short, if it feels ok go with it if it feels cramped go for long. Olly
iwannaleeson!
go long then, but bear in mind, every pro mod rider, ride short bikes last time i checked, a python isnt short and craig lee is pro :-" . . . . . . anyway, i say get the short. I was one of those people before when i had a short team sayin that i wish i had a longer bike. In the end i bought a long python and loved it for a while untill i threaded the bb. since i have been ridin my 1000 team again and i love it way more than the python! i find that it is as easy to do "proper trials" on a short bike as on a long bike. in the end its down to your preference (Y) ben

iwannaleeson!
i go to back wheel without kicking . . its referred to by most people as a manual hop (bunny hop). Just brute strength to get the bike up. Lol, if you had been in southampton on friday you would've heard all about it. Just get james (the666ers) to explain :- ben (Y)
