Savage
Thanks for the comments! The European event is interesting as 20 and 26” compete over the same course, in a way it makes it harder to reach the final than at the Worlds as you ride against specialists on both wheel sizes. I took both bikes, but opted to ride a 26” in a comp for the first time this year as there was some tapping to be done. It’s a good feeling to stand on the podium and here the National Anthem - photograph on KOXX site. I hope that the same atmosphere can be enjoyed at the Fort William comp, every section is like a self contained demo with crowds watching. Ben. aust
well done to ben the man with all the power... and try harder to thge other lads who didnt make it :P ← its because dan was in his first year of elite.... AND he wasnt far off of qualifying still.... i think thats pretty good going... im not even a junior !! im a cadet! which makes me not even a junior but i still had to ride it because there was no lower classes !!... and savage is in his last year of juniors.. so he had it easy compared to others... i also saw him let off with some stupid marks (Y).... i rode just before savage... he couldnt even get up the first part (he had to dab it!) which i cleaned... he also bashguarded a log and got let off with that point and i managed to tap it to back tire... god knows how hes euro champ..... when there is a cadet who is doing things that he cant do (Y).... maybe hes just lucky... AdamR28
Austin, you're a hairdresser, you bum everyone (Y) It may well be true that theres some things certain cadet riders can make than Ben can't, however, to win a higher class, it must mean he is better at other moves - tis just the way it is! Another title for a British rider, nice one Ben (Y)

Hiltop
the comment you made was very one sided dont you think. you argued that even though ben became world champion and butler failed to qualify (granted he was in a lower class) that 'god knows why hes european champ' and that butler was 'prety good going' . it just seems you have let your personal feelings to each person fuel your views. there is no way he would be world champion if he did not deserve it, sounds to me that your almost bitter. (btw well done all of you, especially well done to ben (Y)
Bendee
Austin your a good lad but all this Danny and Ben bumming has to stop it gets very boring i know your there mates and sticking up for them is what mates do but you do take things a little far. The same with all the Ben savage slagging off i got a bit pissed at the last ymsa (and a few others) with all the hating going on it got very boring and danny butler certainly seemed very jelous off savage the way he was calling him. i dont see how you can go on about him being shite this thread proves he isnt. also thought id add my personal opinion of danny butler hes a f**king big headed cock, when he was walking around at the ymsa comp singing he was going to kick martin ashtons ass i felt like pushing him off the highest rock point. Danny butler will never be as good as ashton.
aust
right now all people seem to see is the bad sides of "us lot"... people can speak like they do over the internet... but for some reason they dont seem to say it to our faces ??... when im out riding im not that bad of a person.. many people i ride with can back that up (Y) Edited August 3, 2005 by aust
