Dan Clark
Thats right, list parts you think have made a big dent on the history of trials, with reasons why. Try keep it fairly revolutionary, not "Tensile - Like Middleburns but cheaper" Koxx Levelboss - Not only did this bring around the UCI craze, when it came out people were all "woah, this stupid long bike with no seat!" Bearing in mind it was only 1065 too. I remember people saying unless you were good, the Koxx would hold you back because of the extra length. However, soon everyone had one or copied the geometry. Magura HS33 - Fairly self explanitory, best brake suited for trials period really, I would say very very few people haven't owned some at some point. Hope XC/Mono - Everyone had a hub that didn't break, and when it did, got replaced for free. And it comes in pretty colours. Again, I imagine most stock riders have used one at one point and I remember thinking they were the best hubs ever, before anyone started to buy Chris Kings. You could always tell a decent trials riders by the loud clicking from his hub. Anyway, I'll stop now, post away children.
JIX
You could say d521 I suppose. Was the best rim to have for a long time, and still its one of the strongest around. Im sure most people have owned one or still do. And I think you have to mention the middleburn crank. Be around for years and years and is still one of (the best in my eyes) the best around. I also use a rear hope mono hub which hasnt been bad, never skips on me but doesnt last long enough :bunny:
Dan Clark
There was an 1100 version too. ← Yeah I know, I'm not stupid. No-one really bought them at first though, cept Chris from Section 7 Monty X-Lite - Before the age of Koxx's and Echo's, this was the holy grail of mods. It seemed every mod rider I knew had or wanted one, it had what seemed at the time perfect geo, it was really light and pretty strong too. David
Middleburn cranks!! - Who doesnt own a pair?! (Or used them) Trials standard crank I'd say.
Luke Drewery
Middleburn cranks!! - Who doesnt own a pair?! (Or used them) Trials standard crank I'd say. ← Good addition, i currently use them and they are better quality than all of these UCI cranks available in my opinion too. They have been around for years as well and have become legendary cranks in the trials world. :bunny:

ghosts_cloak
The Wheel. Without that being invented we wouldn't ever of heard of a trials bike! ← LOL! True! :bunny: I will soon be the owner of at least four of the items mentioned in this thread (KMC Kool, middlesburn cranks, Hope mono (front) and xc (rear) hubs and Maggys) :deej: so I hope they are that good! ~Gaz
chrishayton
Chris king rear hub- the ultimate trials hub, although not the strongest hub in the world(although the h/d version prob is) the engagement points and light weight make it amazing for trials use. koxx vinco- the first proper high bb frame. canonndale martin ashton frame- most people who had got into trials in the last 5-10 years has seen one of these riden by martyn ashton and thought i wana be able to do that Vp caged pedals. cheap, weak and nearly every pro in the world use them, cant be too bad!
