Recommended Posts

Just got me new xbox and i wanna hook it up to xbox live. I've got a code and all that, went on the menu, new account, and i get a connection error and it says i need a DNS server provided by my ISP and im on ntl. I'm using a crossover cable from my pc to my xbox, and my pc connects to the inernet through a wireless router which is downstairs.

Can anyone give me some help?

Cheers.

Noz.

Cant connect it directly to my router because its downstairs :D . I'd have to get a wireless adapter and that means more moolah.

I've got halo 2, need for speed underground 2, medal of honour rising sun and im gonna buy pro evo soccer 4 :turned:

I had that problem; you need to turn everything off, and then turn it all on again, And make sure the first thing to connect to the internet is your xbox. You might also need to set up a network bridge on your computer, and details on how are on the xbox live website.

My gamertag is nanderine if you wanna add me for halo 2!

just buy a massive cable and plug it into the router.

i have a 20ft cable running from my room (the router/modem) to the stand alone pc downstairs). only cost me £3 (Y)

That is a good idea, because from your router direct to your xbox means no faffing woth the computer, live works instantly. jus run the cable under the carpet, or pin it to the wall or something. Do it quick, cos i want someone to play halo 2 with! :D
