Josephine
I don't believe i have any pics of the time this happened , but basically I hit my shin into the pedals the hardest I think it's possible to without breaking it, thanks to the joy of 7mm of pin sticking out of the pedal it took it straight down to the bone and did its best to tear away all the flesh you can see between the two scars, cue a trip to hospital with my leg in complete shock and pissing blood and fourteen stitches and 6 months later it was fully healed :shifty: Joe
The Dude
← uhhh, where? Does this have to be riding related injuries? If not, I'll whack up the X-Rays and video of my shattered ankles after jumping out of a window! (Y) Happy days. crazy_gap girl
Blah i so wish we took a camera out riding.. i attract bad falls when on the sunny isle of wight. Here is one of my ankle a week after a gap over some stairs i couldnt get out of bed to take any pics sooner. Luckily the bruising has started to go away and swelling had gone down by then. The hole/cut is where it rolled so much it touched the ground and cut on some stone or something. Here is what its like a year on for comparison: Also mr tarty might have a pic somwhere of my cut shin.. got hit 3 times in the same place by my pedal. THAT WAS FUN ← (Y) you broke it right? lol all of them look nasty.. leedstrials's leg is :- iv only had bad cuts from pedals and impalled my self on the end of my bars that nearly made me faint and twisted my ankle after falling from a 5ft skip :D
steve sturt
Tore muscles on my left shoulder blade about 7 years ago. It still gives me grief. It makes a nice clicking noise. That was from landing on my back, after jumping some steps in Guildford. Recently arrived at the same place as a BMW at the same time (not strictly trials but it was on the bike) and suffered an inelastic collision with his bonnet. Ended up with a dislocated left shoulder, only after telling the guy that I was okay and I will walk it off did I realise that my shoulder was in the wrong place. Luckily he didnt let me go anywhere until an ambulance turned up. 4 weeks later and the fracture clinic man told me that I had a broken scaphoid as well. I thought Id be the first to know that I had a broken wrist, but not so. 2 months on the shoulder is fine but my left hand is still sore. I cant ride yet as it feels like Im pulling my hand off. It sucks.
munkee
(Y) you broke it right? lol ← Lol i wish.. i went to have it x rayed the day after ( dont ever tell them that though, if you do go for an x ray you have to say you did it that day else they wont bother ) and it didnt show up any fractures. But Si ( mr physio ) said it looks like a total rupture of the ligaments hence the bruising everywhere. Which pretty much means its f**ked, currently going through some rehab with both ankles, using a wobble board.. great fun............................................... not

I had 2 weeks of physio on it previous to this as they thought it was just muscle damage. It just seems to be getting better very slowly. Im making an appointment tonight to see my GP next week. Its been about 9 weeks now since I broke it. Is it a good idea to try and stretch it, or to try a minimise how much I use it?
