Canned
H'lo folks, Done a search for this and can't find anything on stock stems. I'm thinking of changing mine to a shorter stem with about the same amount of rise. I have the standarad stem that came with my 05 onza trex. Can anyone advise me on a 20mm shorter stem with about the same rise? Thanks! Tony
Bionic Balls
This sounds like the "safest" option: onza stem Otherwise...i'd recommend the monty stems on cleanbikes :- . Well....i like mine. adam
Luke Drewery
I am running the 05 t-rex and i use zoo handlebars and stem, i ran them on my levelboss and they are nice bars. They fit n with the new skool style bars, wide as flats but have a nice rise on them too so they are good all rounders. The stem is nice too, it isn't a copy like most other stems, nice rise and relatively short length so it will suit you well, i got mine from Bikedock

Tony ← give me a call if needed there are 2 different models of o5 t-rex and therefore some had 2 different stem and bar combos if yours is a 31.8mm bar it would have been a 100m stem 5degree rise if the smaller diameter they were 28.6mm then the length of stem is a little longer with a big rise

I've a feeling it's the 31.8mm one (I think it's a 100mm length). I'll confirm over the weekend. The clamp size is the diameter at the top of the forks yes? Tony ← that is the steerer tube size where your stem clamps steerer it will 28.6mm usually refered to as 1"1/8th ahead bar clamp refers to clamp size on stem holding your bars in place the thickness of the centre of your bar may 25.4mm or 28.6mm or 31.8mm in diamter once you now this it will be clear what stem choices are available sorry some spec1 bikes had different sizes hope this helps
