george_bush
My 4 bolt bolt has snapped there is no visible bolt on the top it is just in the mount. Is there any way of getting it out, that will not cost very much. The bolt is a rb design TI bolt. Thanks Sam.
Siders77
You could get a screwdriver, place it over the snapped bit of the bolt then hit it with a hammer and try and unscrew it? OR Drill it out and have the mount Re-Tapped :S
Joe_Elding
Its a Ti bolt it wont drill out to easy... buy a left hand tap from b&q. Drill a small hole in the top of the bolt and screw the tap into the bolt, which will force the bolt out. I *think* that will work.
modrider666
It will work :S . Two of my mates have done it with the ti rb design bolts. They just drilled the bolts out,re-tapped it and then helicoiled it. Jobs a gud-un :D Edited July 21, 2005 by modrider666
Janson
get a bolt remover. it's like a tap, but cone shaped. drill a hole in the bolt, screw the remover in (left hand thread) and the bolt will come out, as the remover taps the hole, and the further you screw the remover down, the tighter it will fit to the bolt, removing it. easy peasy. Tony Harrison
Yes, that's it. And of course you don't have to re-tap the hole as the bolt should just unscrew 'clean'.
dave33
if its flush with the tope get a hacksaw and cut a slit across it just about 1mm deep then you should be able to unscrew it, and the slipt wont make much dfference to the strength :S
