the_soon_to_be
ok i have done a search so don't moan, i am want to get a 180 or 185mm custom leeson rotor for the front, but i have heard that it would be to powerful. At the momemt i have a 185mm hope mono mini so will a 180mm leeson rotor fit my brake with no changes or not and does anyone have a leeson rotor on their bike that they can post a pic of so i can see what is looks like on the bike thanks gaz
Mr Motivator
Theyre C2 rotors that Clive just cuts down. Theyre too powerfull for the front, and if you can get a C2 in 180, then yeah. Who cares. Nothing wrong with your current one.

Mr Motivator
Well what ever way you look at it, you still owe me £13.75 which you told me you would give me after your birthday and I need that now.
JIX
Why would it be too powerful? Do you mean it would be too grabby and hardly no modulation? I have a mono trial 160 and would be interested in a more grabby feel. Would the leeson rotor achive this? Were they designed to lock up? I have an aztec rotor at the mo. Mr Motivator
Why would it be too powerful? Do you mean it would be too grabby and hardly no modulation? ← Dunno, Clive told me it would be too powerfull.
JIX
Do you know if 160 c2 disc will be ok with my mono trail 160? Sounds like a stupid question but Im not sure of the caliper no. I have an old c2 160 rotor at home so I might machine something myself
Mr Motivator
I have an old c2 160 rotor at home so I might machine something myself ← Well be careful if you do. You want the braking surface shiney smooth and no burs or your pads will last about 10 minuets.
JIX
True. Worth a go though I think
JIX
What are other peoples views on the leeson disc up front? Would you prefer a grabbier brake? Would it be much of an inprovement over the wavy aztec?
picki
im sure there not all c2 rotors... mini rotor?? splined c2 rotor...a notmal c2 just has the usual 6 bolt thingy in the middle
JIX
Has anyone on here actually had a leeson rotor? If so what were the differences to braking performance?

picki
just cram it on.....160 is at the end of the day 160....so it will work. as for using one... some lad down here had a leeson 180 c2 rotor on a hope mini.....stupid locing power, not a great deal of modulation though. JIX
Just measured my old disk and its 165mm probally cos it was for the rear. Just wondering why you dont see more of the leeson disks about if they improve the lock so much. Be good for natural.
