STEVE-0
You know when you've done a good bunny hop because your arse scrapes on the tyre. That's obviously maximum tuck so will be as high as you can go realistically. ← You could suck it up you're arse if you were austin wright or on a static hop get sideways. YOU CAN ALWAYS GO HIGHER! Onza Kieron
I was reading a mate's "Ride" mag the other day and there was an article on bunny hopping up walls and so-on, However it says start pulling up when your the distance away from the obstacle as it is high if you get what i mean. I used to be good at hopping but since i got my t-rex i've become rather bad. As for manuels :"> lets not get into that.... Hope this helps, Kieron (Y)
Olly C
Theres some wierd techniques used on videos by various riders at getting up stuff. Theres like standard rolling along lean back and bunnyhop, theres rolling pedal ups with no taps, rolling pedals ups with taps but you finish the pedal as your front wheel has just hit the wall and a wierd one I saw Phil do where you kinda pedal your front wheel up roll a bit tap and bunnyhop up (Y) wierd mix of all three. I find bunnyhopping easier with a loose break, as far as I remeber Craig and Neil both have loose levers so when you pull back on your bars your fingure doesn't pull the brake that little bit. I used to have my brakes like that and bunnyhop well but I now run tighter brakes that lock up really well, so when I pull back sometimes the force taps my finger onto my brake the tinyest bit and it locks the wheel and throws you off the technique. Each to their own though... see what works best for you.

Tomm
Ben Slinger used to do them quite a lot. Kind of a pedal-to-manual-to-tap-to-bunny hop. As far as I can tell, there's not really much point, but they do look pretty funky :)
JIX
I would quite like to see this as Im not really sure what you mean, and it sounds rather cool. Plus there is always the trusty moto style front and back tap, but I dont think that would work on a mod. Janson
bunnyhopping is FUN FUN FUN. got 6 blue pallets (dunno how high it is) in oxford to back wheel. its all about hooooning, isnt that right mr staples? :) i ride a 1085 coust with 90mm stem btw. pop the back wheel up before pulling front end, makes it a million times easier. True I see him do it. And I do find it amazing because I really struggle to bunny hop my short control. But the question is Janson, could you go higher with a tap? Janson
i have had 44" straight to back wheel with tap, and less run up than i needed on the bunnyhops.
James_Porter
janson likes to make sure he hits the walls with his front wheel on tapes. he likes to make sure he gets a nice ding sound out of his front wheel, and makes sure his sidewalls feel it. thats what i noticed from sessioning a rather large wall in bristol with him :)
Towler
well its alot easyer to bunnyhop up a wall on a mod than doing a front tap, IMO
