Mr Motivator
Plazmatic CRM Loved mine on a smooth. Had to keep everything clean though which got a bit boring after a while so I just used a tiny tiny bit of tar (about a 4cm line on each side of the rim) and it still made no noise and locked just as fine. So yeah, keep it clean and its awesome (Y) Sam

JT!
Heatsink Konig. Absolutely amazing. B) ← I tried these on a smooth rim with tar, they were just way too hard. Rimjam blues and zoo pads are on par with eath other IMO. They do the job for me. Yet to try the reds, but they are alot softer so in theroy they should be good. Try the zoo's. :- I don't like the rimjams as the backing tend to brake easy. (N) However the compound is good. Edited July 18, 2005 by JT! Danny
I run the prototype heatsink honigs (not konigs) on my dead grind and the lock is awesome im guessing they would work very well on a smooth rim.
N.Wood
Plaxmatic CRM's... Mine used to be awesome as long as they were kept clean. ZOO! are ok, but don't come up to the standards of the Plazmatic pads.
will4eva7k
plazmatics are the stuff for ungrinded rims rimjam blues are meant to be good? the first ride with a new set of blues on my new wheel, it was slipping a bit i wasnt patient enought for it to wear in and grinded it when i got home stick with plazmatics or zoo pads heatsink are rated very good as well
Luke Drewery
My zoo pads worked well on a smooth, clean koxx rim before i ground it, and now they work amazing. Either zoo or heatsinks.
