Mark W Posted July 17, 2005 Report Share Posted July 17, 2005 There should be a little hole somewhere on the shifter, just bigger than the metal lump on the end of the cable. Typically, activating either top or bottom gear will open it (it does vary on model). You may have to splay the little cover between the "grip" part of the shifter (where your hand goes) and the actual internals part though (the fixed part), depending on the model again...
