It all depends what you want and what your budget is for a car.

IMO the mini is the best car and is the most fun and best handling small car out there still after all these years.

To answer your questions the rover mini and the austin mini are the same car apart from the age. They began as the austin mini and then became the rover mini in the late 80's early 90's.

There is no difference apart from the name and engine sizes depending on models.

A 998cc will be reasonably nippy and driveable, you could do somemotorway traveling aslong as you are careful but i wouldsn be too keen on the idea.

personally i would look out for a 1275cc mini as they are so much more refined due to the increased power and torque. These will be better suited for motorway driving.

Either way get a mini and have a car with a personality. (Y)

Hope this helps

Cheers

i doubt a 1 litre will do 95 on motorway, as 1275 would probably reach 90.....might depend how long and straight motorway is.....im just thinking about my local bypass atm

Have you ever driven a mini :) It's possible to get about 100 out of a 998 and 110 nearly 120 out of a 1275

I know because i've done it (Y)

when I went for a drive in my mates brothers mini, we got 85 out of it down a country road!

could of got more but ran out of road!

I love Mini's!! the one i went in is black, with a checkered roof, silver arches, and silver wheels.. MINE! (Y)

Only bad thing is..it has a lovely dent in the rear end koz the silly git reversed into a wall! (he's crap at reversing!)
