Michael Hardman
Just found out Im entitled to job seekers allowance becasue Im in work but work less than 16 hours a week. I can also claim on my diasabilty which I dont see as a disabilty but what the hey might aswell screw the government and tax payers out of some extra money. Before you say it Im looking for a job just I cant afford to pay my mum rent andmoving out is even worse. I love the benefit system, anyone else signed up or going to. Is job seekers alowance different to signing on the dole Edited July 14, 2005 by Michael Hardman

I can't see the problem with it myself although people who live off it piss off though but if the goverment want to give you money then it would be rude not to accpet it (N) I know my mum gets a fair bit every year for me and my three brothers and we're certainlt not going to shove it back in their face. Go on take the money ;)
Tony Harrison
I dislike people comitting benefit fraud and taking benefits when they have no intention of ever having a job, such as trampy scrounging people. However, when I finished university I signed on to the dole (JobSeekers Allowance) because it's a state benefit. When I started working, the amount of money I had received on the dole was deducted from my tax-free earnings allowance, which suited me fine. You won't really be screwing people out of money because you'll be putting more than your fair share back into the pot in later life. So in fairness you may aswell get your money's worth now! andyroo
Yeah, one day everyone gets taxed till they choke anyway, so claiming for a bit on job seekers allowance is fine.
Michael Hardman
Hope your not saying Im committing benefit fraud becasue Im not. Im entited to job seekers alloance. Ive finished uni Im looking for a job but they dont come and hit you in the face and I work part time for 8 hours a week. That entitles me legaly to free money. Its not as if Im aking your money Im giving th money to my mum as rent. So in theory Im aking the money she pays in taxes and giving it back to her.
