matthewholdsworth
just bought some of these, fitted em to my bike, and working in a bike shop got the disc mount spot faced and the race fitted properly. my headset is pressed corectly into the frame, everything is tight and there seems to be soooo much play at the front end. i was putting it down to pad play in my mono trial but my mate, who rides an 05 team with team team forks has the same problem. anyone any ideas what might be causing this "wobble". if i screw the headset bolt in any more its going to snap. other than this i have to say these forks awere worth the money make my bike ride so much nicer cheers

rich4130
Steerer tube too long and bottoming out on the stem cap? ← My bets on that, Happened to me, I wenty through everything before realising the top cap I was using had a much bigger lip than my previous one. MSM
Sounded like bottoming out on steerer tube to me to. :shifty: One assumes that they have slackened off the stem to steerer clamp bolts before trying to adjust the headset preload. ;) If it is too long a steerer tube, then a spacer or two could fix it without having to resort to cutting tools. Hiltop
im the person with the wobbly echo teams. nope isnt the head tube being too long i got a space on top of my stem to sort that out. not that problem. not really too bad a wobble but deffinately noticable. had the headset fitted at the local bike shop so that shouldnt be the problem, just seems that they have a little niggling wobble. nobody can seem to find whats up with it either. to be honest have got used to it,so not too bother just interested to see if anybody has any ideas ?
