joe b
Hellooooooo, i am going to be getting a Hope Mono trial soon on my new bike and the about 3/4 of my mates have bent theres causing it to rub quite badly and i cant be doing with that. Sooo, i want to buy a strong rotor. I was just wondering if the Leeson Custom disc rotor's were strong... and yes, i do know its just a Hope C2 rotor machined out, but C2 rotors look wank on theyre own so id get it machined out 'caus in my opinion it looks gorgeous! :) Thanks in advance, Joe. Ashley Smith
i would'nt have thought they'd have been as strong due to there being less material there. stick with the stanadard rotor thats what the brake was designed and tested with ash
F-Stop Junkie
When I got mine, I wasn't expecting any difference in strength. If you twat it into ledges and whathaveyou, you will bend it. Get used to bending it back. One thing I noticed with my Leeson rotor though was that it would dig into logs and stuff when I was riding natural and stop it from bending. Very impressed. Also, the rotor did improve the brake performance.

philking
If it is just a C2 rotor then it will not be made out of different material to the rotors that come with the mono trial so it will be no stronger in that department. Also the fact it is machined out, ie less material, and therefore strength... My hope trial is fine, just don't hit your rotor, if you cant manage that (like your friends by the sound of things) then don't get a disc. Its like riding without a bash guard it you know you are going to land on your chain ring a lot... So to conclude, standard rotor is pleanty strong enough.
