JT!
Just got them on... :) It was quite ironic really as i was saying I shouldn't need to do anything to my bike for a while now. Didn't touch wood though. There is a smooth bit on both the cross section area where they broke. I thought it could have been and air bubble while they were been made, therefor a manufactor defect. But aparetly it's just where it's slowly cracked and rubbed to make it smooth befir completely cracking. ^_^ Lets hope i can get a free re-placement from SuperCycles ey. JT!
Holy shit man :- Where you doing anything mad or not when it happened? Nice pedals btw  (Y)" :P ← No, never. The biggest thing i have ever done was a 5 and a half foot drop. :) At the time i just droped about, what, 1 foot. i hope they give you a new pair, look in pretty goodcondition apart from the snap in the pic dont see why you wont have a new pair ^_^ ← Me too. I haven't got the recipit, and i think i have had them for over a year. So it dosn't look good (Y) . Worst comes to worse, i'll try and buy just the one. Edited July 8, 2005 by JT! Mark W
If you're not a dick (not saying you are, but people seem to go a bit gung-ho at warranty attempts ), they might be OK. They do look in good con., so they might be cool with it... Bit sketch seeing as I've got the X-Pedal/Tensile combo too... Just out of curiosity, were you at the DJ ride? EDIT: If it's over a year, they've got a 2-year crash replacement warranty, so try blagging a new single arm? Or go for a fresh pair. Half price = £50-ish, which ain't bad :) EDIT #2: Try and blag some DMR Terror-pins. Put them in the middle holes (by the pedal spindle), and they stick up a teensy bit more than the standard X-Pedal ones. I don't know about you, but mine stuck up barely 1mm or so above the pedal body, meaning they were, in effect, not so good. I basically have the Terrors on one side of mine, and the standards on my "Bashing" side of my pedal. You do actually learn which side to use, and I can feel which side I'm on just through my feet now...
Si-man
They should do a crash replacement on them, or do what you said and buy the replacement arm for it. *all tensile owners run to check cranks :)" * How many is it that have snapped now then? Azonic X pedals I think they are called Edited July 8, 2005 by merlin_rider
JT!
Just out of curiosity, were you at the DJ ride? ← Nah, I wasn't. Way too far, and no way of getting down. Had my tee on all day though to make up for it. :) Azonic X Pedals Joe. Very nice." I am hoping i can get a free crank arm really, that would be the ideal solution. Then I wouldn't have to faff taking the freewheel off etc... Edited July 8, 2005 by JT!
Mark W
Just in case you didn't see my Mystery Edit, seeing as your post came up as I edited mine...: EDIT #2: Try and blag some DMR Terror-pins. Mark W
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3906 £50, f**k that for a laugh :) ← Sealed bearing, pretty damn strong judging from my pair (and Ali C's, although he did break one after a big gap -> pedal incident ), super light without having to use lower durability body materials (as in mag-bodied pedals tend to piss pins), and so on... Got a job now anyway, and i don't have any 'outgoing' transaction apart from my bike so why not splash out a bit ey? ← Welcome to the last year of my life :) My bike's got a half-decent spec now 'cos I just don't have any outgoings, 'cept for bass lessons, sweets 'n' shit, train tickets, and strings for my bass. All doesn't really take up much of the £4.5K a year I get from my part-time work...
