the_soon_to_be
also is a ONZA hog front rim with drilled side walls strong, or weak as weak. Is it best suited to a "pro rider", or is it ok for riders in training or strictly off limits to anyone, but the smoothest of riders, any help appriciated thanks gaz
the_soon_to_be
i am not a fan of the echo cnc, i have a mate who has one and i think it is horrible looking rim, not on my life gaz
Chris Cook
" It's defo not as stong as the echo CNC. But it would be ok for the price. :) It also looks good. Oh and i think it is lighter !
the_soon_to_be
so would it surive a drop gone slightly wrong or not gaz
thefletch
I take it your going to be running a disc brake up front. Because that affects the choices a fair bit.
AdamR28
so would it surive a drop gone slightly wrong or not ← With a good build - no problem. It is and has been used by a number of top riders with no problems to date. Theres always the Onza Half-Price Replacement Warranty if things go tits up too :) You're never gonna get a very strong, very light, AND wide rim - there's always a compromise. Mr Motivator
Gaz, keep the mavic. You're still only a begginer begginer and no doubt you'll be cocking up very soon when you try bigger stuff. And my echo rim dont look gash you fool lol. Might get something stronger and wider actually. Im thinking EX729, drilled :) Sam
zoojames
I've heard nothing but bad things about the echo rims ^_^" And I agree, they look crap! Im saying onza hog for a good rim  White rim tape YUMMY (Y) James :)
SQuiT-man
I think the drilled onza hog rim would be fine, and they look amasing too. Also I dont think the Echo CNC front rim would be much stronger- they seem pretty flimsy and over-lightweight to me, plus they look a bit dull.
