RyanRs
What one will ride the best, i dont want the frame to be too much like the vinco sig frame, cos its to much trials specific. i like a bit of street riding too. Ry EDIT:- also, do i have to use thoes GU forks with the GU frame, or can i stick with my fattys? ? Edited July 6, 2005 by RyanRs

Ali C
I say pitbull. I didnt get on with high bbs at all, I am now back on a proper frame (control) and am loving it, my ridings much better than when I was on the hi fi. (ps, get a control)
Inspired Dave
For a sorta streety ride I'd say go for a GU short. The high bb will help the bike bunnyhop well when used with the right stem. Sidehops will also feel easier, as will backwheel control. In all honesty I find higher bb bikes more fun to ride, they have a nice light 'flicky' feeling about them. The GU frames can be used with just about any fork, it'll still be a great riding bike with Fattys.
RyanRs
nice one. anyone else got any input? does anyone own one already?? i think i will go with the short one if i get it, its a fairly 'long' short frame. if u get me. ry
Chris Cook
Gu mate :S Be diffrent (Y) ANd they look VERY nice ! :(
totaltrials
As said above, the high BB with make bunnyhops a lot easier and psycologically making everything "feel" smaller. Phil.

I think he was after a Pitbull short, so he could bunny hop better though (Y)

I dislike such people. The frame cracked because of a manafacturers defect, and that, for some unknown reason, makes the bike ride shit, bunny hop bad, and seem cheap and tacky? I think he was after a Pitbull short, so he could bunny hop better though (Y) ← Neil has always been on a short Pitbull. He doesn't find it hard to bunnyhop either, although you have to find a compromise between being able to bunnyhop and doing everything else, this is why a high BB can help give you a good bunnyhopping performance while keeping everything else sweet, where as if you where to have an orange zero 990 wheelbase bunnyhopping will be great but everything else will be BAD. if your after a great bike to bunnyhop a 1075 GU is perfect while still being able to keep a great geometry for sidehopping taps and whatever else. Phil. ← You have that down to a 'T' there matey! as i just so happen to have an Orange Zero, with some cack wheelbase like 990 !! it is pritty good for bunnyhops and bmx'eey tricks but useless for keeping on the back wheel! for Freestyle/BMX street, its cool. for trials riding?? well? thats another story! How comes GU isnt on any other sites inc the EchoZoo sites?? i would like to research the bike a wee bit before throwing £450 at one... is it actually designed by ZOO and prehaps designed to be the replacement to the pitball?? if so, how comes Neil tunnicliffe doesnt seem to have one yet? The Gu frame has gone through the same testing and design as echo and zoo frames and is also the same material, you can trust it will be as well made as echo and zoo for them reasons. Phil. Phatmike
In reply to Dave I think it was, who things a 1075 wheelbase, 60+mm bb rise frame is a streety one, I think that's certainly wrong! Maybe street trials, ie, doing sidehops and gaps on walls, but it's not a street frame! What one will ride the best, i dont want the frame to be too much like the vinco sig frame, cos its to much trials specific. i like a bit of street riding too. Ry EDIT:- also, do i have to use thoes GU forks with the GU frame, or can i stick with my fattys? ? ← If you do want to ride a GU, come to Bristol tomorrow (today), a mate will be bringing his. :S Really, you might be best off with a pitbull, less "extreme" geometry, and will be more than sufficient to do a larger majority of moves. Pauly
hey si ive always hated my pitbull everscince i first got on it at first i thought it was jst getting used to the frame but as the months went by i still hated it when i had my echo bounce i loved that from the start and i did not slag it off when it cracked in two places i prased the frame.with the bull just because it cracked would not change my opinion on what i think of the bike :S and how can you make osomptions when you dont even no me Pauly and phill neil told me he has the 1085 <_< and he said it was harder to bunnyhop than his 1065 2004 pitbull (N) Edited July 7, 2005 by Zoo_Rider
endofreak
A good person to speak to would be trialsni ( aka Gary from Bikedock ). He has owned an 05 long Pitbull, an 05 short Pitbull and now a short GU Typhoon. I currently ride an 05 long Pitbull and I absolutely love it. It's a very stiff well balanced ride. I don't understand how it can feel 'tacky'.
