i had the same problem, it turned out to be another lovely effect of having spyware on the computer. Thoroughly clean the registry, deep scan the hard drive and check that you have nothing running in the system startup that shouldnt be there.

to check the startup go to start > run > "msconfig" is what you wanna type in then click the startup tab check for anything with "bargain" "save" "find" "toolbar" and other such related crap.
