rich4130
Matt, Get in contact with bikedock, where I got mine from feburary time, try the guy on southerndownhill forum, Geoff I think it is might be able to sort you out, I got discount on mine. They wear out well fast though. The 2.5" ones are pretty fat, probably about the same as a 2.3 Tioga, 2.7" ones are pretty massive.
Brian Bleech
I have always thought the maxxis was quite thinnish my 2.5 isn't any bigger than a 2.35 moto digger! Not sure where else you try - I know halford can order them in. Oh...actually Tim (Dr Evil on here) mentioned something about them having a 24" swampthing (i hink) in stock at the one he works at, It was a month ago though. You could try a Intense tires, a bit more $$££$$ though - I ran 2.35 FRO DH - it lasted a long time and grip is awesome I was running it bald in the wet and got it down to 8psi with no puncture (didn't bother going lower) and I was running a halfords tube. The tire has 6ply casing - makes maxxis look thin, I had too run it at about 5psi less to get the same feel as my IRC kujo (which could be another option, should last you ok in the summer and with a DH tube) hope thats some help mike
Tomm
Jon Fisher has a 2.7 in the back of his Ashton ET. But I don't know if that helps in the slightest :-

Brian Bleech
can't find the weight for the 24" swampthing, but the 26" version is 1180g which is 70g lighter than the 26" highroller, so you are probably looking at 1100g(ish) for the 24". My highroller is has been going for around 9 weeks, I think i could probably be getting around 3-4 months out of it. but I do ride places on it, because i am a loser who can't drive. bungalow-bikes
I prefer the kujo 24" 2.35" nice tread and profile reasonable pinch resistance just not that easy to get hold of i found. spealized 24" dh pro is another choice very light but i dont really like it not sure why tread just wasn't for me was running a super think Halo tube (3mm) so punctures where not a problem! Tomm
I think this is where the confusion lies! Edit: Aaahh i see now... Tomm wants matching tyres :( ← Nah. I already have tyres. They do (coincidentally!) match though (Y) But there are no light front tyres for 24" I think? And I always liked Fire XCs :S
Brian Bleech
aaahhhh i see now hahah yeah light tire are few and far between, the mythical tioga white tiger seems the best , but that is like the holy grail of 24" tires (Y)
