Yeah they look mint, but I don't think we can get Mosh components over here because there is no U.K distributor.

Anyway back to main topic, I prefer the clean lines/looks of a bmx, and my 24" looks pretty similar I suppose, no bright silver parts or a long stem etc.

Tom

I agree I prefer the cleaner lines of a 'more traditional' shaped bike over the fancy ass GU, XTP, etc stuff. Yeah my 24" looks quite bmxy too :">

'Cos otherwise T-f would hate you?

this is exactly what sam is talking about, and im with sam on this one,

poeple specially show off thier bikes on trials-forum, and to me they all look the same,

they are all colour co-ordinated, all that blah blah blah

sort of changing the topic here but i was thinking the other day, somethin similar to this, here goes

trials is not a sport: it is an art form

i think what makes riders like ryan leech stand out from the crowd is the way he see's the sport, his veiws

trials is an art form, for it to be an art form things must be doen with extreme precision, and utter balance, showing a varitation of lines and looking at different moves across different lines, instead of going for the reglar wheelswap to gap to rail and drop of, try and see things in a different way

A year or so ago I wouldnt have had a problem with spending lots on my bike and buying new bits for the sake of it, not cos i needed them. But at the mo I cant remember the last time i bought something for it. Its a mess right now. Feels bitty and like its about to fall apart. BUT ive done some of my best riding ever in the last few months. So I dunno. If I had the money, Id be buying new bits all the time but to be honest, I have better things to spend money on now. Cars drain funds seriously as do girlies and going out. Still love my bike, it just doesnt get the same doh thrown at it as it used to

Rubish. He stands out cos he tries to make himself stand out. Hes different yes but Id rather be "the same" (whatever that is) and be Vinny than be different and be leech

Ti is becoming popular in bmx: spokes, hubs + other bits - but a steel/alu equivalent will often do the job as well/if not better.

EDIT: So this dvd is pretty good then?

But that's because titanium is actually better! It's so much lighter for axles and shit and so makes a huge difference to how the bike rides. Titanium spokes are, like you said though, poo.

And yeah it's pretty good for £4 or whatever, and the mags got some sick pictures too. It's not the best DVD you'll see but it's well worth the cash, inspired me (Y)

It's not all about trying to be different it's about progressing in the way you feel you want to go. He dislikes correction hops and so has eliminated them from his riding. In my opinion that shows greater skill than somebody booning at a ledge 20 times before actually getting up it the booning another couple of times before continuing. I do agree that by not correction hopping some moves can look scruffy so i'd be inclined for the happy medium - one or two max.

But yeah its best to get your bike working and I find get a frame a colour you like and then stick to black or silver components...piece of piss. I get bored of how my bike looks after about a few week and then I want to personalise it.

Mike

Yes Mike, it is important to get your bike working :P then you wont need the ten million tools you bring out lol :-

I love shiny new bikes that have colour co-ordination. I think my two bikes pay homage to it.

One happens to be a bmx and I really dont care what condition my parts end up in, al the gold bits i bought apart from he hubs are now silver from crashing the frame is battered, my left chainstay and bb area have nice grind marks all over it, my cranks look like theyve seen better days.

I like the nice shiny new look but once I start riding after a week or so I dont care I just abuse my bikes.

if you're buying a part you're not gonna buy something which doesn't fit in with your existing colours just because it looks ghetto

when you've bought 5 or 6 parts your bike begins to look quite colour coded anyway?!

my bike is sorted and nice (for me) - but then i got everything from new. it's when stuff breaks and you can't afford to replace it that it gets ghetto as you use bits from all over the place.
